One of our recent successful projects was the import of a shipment amounting to 50 tons per month of specialized medical devices from the United States of America to the United Arab Emirates. This shipment included precise medical equipment and instruments (including toe correction prostheses and other orthotic devices) that had been ordered for treatment centers and specialized clinics in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The loading origin was set as major U.S. airports (typically Los Angeles or New York), and the final destination was Dubai International Airport (DXB). Given the high sensitivity of medical devices and the need to maintain the cold chain and safe transport conditions, the entire process was managed with full focus on complying with U.S. FDA standards and the regulations of the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP).
Transportation was carried out by air to minimize delivery time. The total weight per month was 50 tons, and it was transported using direct air freight services and dedicated medical containers (with temperature and humidity control). The delivery time from the moment of loading until delivery to the customer’s warehouse in the UAE took only 7 days. This high speed was achieved thanks to precise coordination with reputable logistics companies, pre-import permits from MOHAP, and fast customs clearance in Dubai. All documents, including the Certificate to Foreign Government (CFG), commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin, were provided in legalized and apostilled form.
This project not only met the urgent needs of the client in the UAE but also demonstrated our capability in managing sensitive medical imports to Middle Eastern countries (including the UAE, Iran, and Turkey) under tight schedules. After successful clearance in the UAE, the possibility of rapid distribution to other parts of the region and even re-export to the markets of Iran and Turkey became available. This experience confirms that with professional planning and full compliance with legal and health requirements, air import of medical devices from the United States to the Persian Gulf region can be completed in less than one week and bring complete customer satisfaction.
